Once upon a time, we were fans like you. We went out to metal concerts to meet our favorite musicians. Hearing a lot of bad words against our passion which is female fronted metal, we decided we wanted to support female musicians more than just by attending their shows and telling them how awesome they are. Sadly, female musicians are still underrated in metal and the opinions go around that real metal needs to be created by men. Having long hair, a beard and drinking a lot of alcohol while eating a steak. But is this really true? Is this what metal means?

We say no - and decided that we wanted to create our very own webzine in support of female musicians in metal and rock in June 2015.
That’s how Magna Femina came into existence.
